Cotton prices may stay at a high level, the price difference with polyester has progressively fallen in the past months, meaning that cotton use could remain strong at spinning mills in the coming period. China has again been able to lower its unit prices in full last year and to relatively preserve its share of the US apparel import market, as a result. Unit values of other origins have also dropped, including from Bangladesh or Cambodia with results widely different depending on product categories, as usual.
