Support dedicated projects SVF infrastructure development includingprocessor simulator. Specific qualification requirements A university degree Msc or equivalent qualification in ElectronicEngineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science,Mathematics or a related discipline. Software engineering and objectoriented programming. Programming languages CC andor others. Embedded Real Time Systems and Real Time Kernels. Unix based systems. Responsibilities You will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section within the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. The sections activities cover the development of Software Validation Facility SVF components as well developing generic reference facilities. This includes processor emulators, simulation of spacecraft systems and spacecraft dynamics. The work includes supporting ESA projects on the design, test and validation of onboards software maintenance and support on software development toolsets and design, implementation and test tasks for the Sections technology programme. Within the Flight Software Systems Section support is provided to ESAs next large space mission the JUpiter Icy moons Explorer JUICE and in particular to the Radio Plasma and Wave Instrument RPWI which will characterize the radio emission and plasma environment of the Jupiter System. You will be colocated with the RPWI instrument team at the Swedish Institute of Space Physics in Uppsala, Sweden near Stockholm and will be in charge of the following initial tasks Development and validation of the software for the Radio Plasma and Wave Instrument RPWI of the ESA JUICE mission. Perform unit testing of the Instrument software. Generating and maintenance of the required software documentation. You should be able to function as part of the RPWI team.
