German court rules in favor of HTC in Nokia patent suit

(Telecompaper) Smartphone maker HTC said that a German court has ruled that it has not infringed two patents held by Nokia, according to the Wall Street Journal. HTC said in a statement that the District Court of Mannheim dismissed two of Nokia's complaints against it for infringing a "method for using services offered by a telecommunications network, a telecommunications system, and a terminal for it and electronic display device and lighting control method of same." More than 30 further Nokia patents have been asserted against HTC in other actions in Germany, the US and the UK, the article said.

Nashville-based Genesco takes VISA to court over data breach

<![CDATA[Nashville-based retailer Genesco Inc. is suing VISA, accusing the credit-card company of wrongfully taking more than $13 million as punishment for a data breach.
