In addition, the candidate will provide operations support to the Data Handling and SBand TTC subsystems. The candidate may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems as defined by the SOM or Division Head. Tasks include Study of Project Specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Production of Project Specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Spacecraft Performance Analysis Validation, test and operation of the FOS subsystems, including the MCS and Satellite software simulator Support to the setup, validation, test and operation of the OBSM systems. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require basic knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems and detailed knowledge of the subsystems listed in the technical description. Knowledge of and experience in ESA Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components Mission Control System, Simulators is desirable. JOB DESCRIPTION Spacecraft Operations Engineer Responsibilities Duties Tasks Spacecraft Operations Engineer position primarily assigned to Sentinel1 but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Earth Observation Missions Division.
