Polyester prices dropped in the past seven days in China, due to weakness in demand and larger inventory levels. Operating rates have been reduced for the first time in many months. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fibers (PSF) and the Polyester Filament Yarns (POY, DTY, FDY) in China, India, and Pakistan. The pandemic is now under control in India, thanks to the lockdown imposed in large parts of the country. Textile activity has been reduced, which has supported prices after they previously fell. Our weekly report covers fiber prices in India, including cotton, polyester, and viscose.
