SAR Specialist Radar System Engineer

SSBV is a Dutch company that specialized in providing system engineering and advanced technology solutions to the international aerospace market. For our activities in the development of flight instrument electronics including payload computers and SAR antennas we are looking for a SAR Specialist Radar System Engineer. The SAR Specialist Radar System Engineer shall lead the requirement analysis, architectural and detailed design as well as the interaction with spacecraft and performance analyses. The tasks of the candidate are Lead andor contribute to the development of SAR subsystems and systems in space flight hardware applications, including architecture development and performance analyses, requirements management, design, integration, and test. Derive system requirements from customerscientific requirements. With the support of the mission specialist predict, analyse and simulate in flight system performances. Define and support overall system tests. Provide technical assessments of the capabilities and limitations of radar designs and provide development and operations recommendations to project management Perform desktop research and analysis, managing modeling and simulation efforts, and evaluating prototypes and operational systems Modelling and simulate system performances. Derive RF and digital electronics requirements from the overall system specification. Technical lead in project and technical meetings, internal as well as external The candidates qualifications are Electronics engineer M.Sc. or higher, with major contents in radar and space electronics Experience in space radar design and analysis Radar SAR Remote Sensing, Interferometry, SAR Altimetry, Ground Penetrating Radar Experience supporting large systems development projects, including all aspects of requirements management, yet also be hands on Experience reviewing engineering design documentation as part of the configuration control and design process, interface control documents, and lifecycle logistics plans Knowledge of RF signal propagation, RF hardware, including radar and antenna technologies, and RF signal processing techniques. Demonstrated analysis and design experience of SAR systems, related digital signal processing, related analog digital waveform synthesis, synthesis of radar products from phase history data, radar electronic protection, SAR receiver design and related SAR subsystem and payload hardware and electronics. Relevant network in academic, institutional and industrial RD community proven ability of publishing in relevant scientific journals and presenting on relevant conferences. Experience and knowledge of FMCW radar will be an asset. The base location is SSBV headquarters in Noordwijk ZH, The Netherlands business unit SSBV Space and Ground Systems NL.
