Spacecraft Flight Dynamics Engineer

This job is to participate in the operations team of ispace lunar lander missions as Flight Dynamics engineer. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of orbital dynamics and navigation. Specific experience in deepspace navigation and targeting to other planets or moons is desired. The effort includes all phases from ground infrastructure design and validation to operations preparation and post flight analysis. Key Responsibilities Participate in product definition, specification and requirements phases Collaborate on architecture design, component selection, including make or buy decisions, with other design and analysis team members Document requirements and specification Design, simulate, and test guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft Validate and verify GNC flight software through softwareintheloop, processorintheloop, and hardwareintheloop integration campaign Support mission design and lunar landing site selection Support integration, troubleshooting and testing Basic Qualifications Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics or equivalent. Five or more years experience in spacecraft navigation and operations. Experience in operational software development and validation. Designoperations experience across a range of missions and mission phases. Strong understanding of first principals in dynamics, orbital mechanics and software development Previous experience in tracking data processing, orbit determination activities, maneuver planning and navigation analysis studies. Demonstrated experience with Python Excellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills Preferred Experience Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related field Experience with MONTE navigation software. Specific experience in planetary targeting and landing phases. Experience with ground station interfaces. Knowledge of lunar topography and target landing site selection. Experience with spacecraft command generation. Experience in validation of operational tools.

JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The work to be perfomed consists on the development and operation of a flight dynamics system accomplishing the following technical tasks Orbit propagation Tracking simulation Orbit determination Events computation Platform dependant producs and telecommands generation Orbit and attitude monitoring 2D3D visualization The candidate will be mainly envolved on the development of the platform dependant modules to generate the specific products and telecommands. The candidate will be also involved on the integration and qualification phases on the operations centre and on the operation of the system during the mission.
