Overview Postholder will have to proactively monitor and coordinate AIT activities in close cooperation with Satellite Engineering and AIT Managers, providing support wrt AIT activities, schedule and risks assessment, project reviews TRRs, TRBs, NRBs, FARQAR etc, in line with specific AIT technical competences requested. The subject vacancy is for 2 FTE Position 1 Position 2 Position 1 Focal point for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of payload AIT activities. Ensure close monitoring of the progress of industrial AIT activities. Ensure the timely preparation of all qualification and acceptance tests of the PFM and recurring instrument model. Analyse risks and potential work around, provide early warning of major problem areas and anomalies, ensure that appropriate mitigation actions are identified and implemented. Ensure coordination and necessary specialist support from the MTG engineering, PL, system and PA team towards the industrial AIT activities. Support instrument and satellite project reviews and DRBs. Ensure that the required control on the test configuration and procedures applied with the industrial consortium is following the applicable formal processes liaising with ESA PAQA. Coordinate closely with the MTG Engineering and AIT Manager and the other AIT, Engineering and PAQA resources to ensure that lessons learned from instrument AIT are duly analysed and considered at satellite level. Ensure that all specific AIT constraints related to the implementation of the instrument Long Term Storage including associated GSE and Test Facilities are suitably observed and implemented. Long term storage and launch campaigns support. Position 2 Support integration, testing and launch campaign of Galileo FOC satellites the post holder will be a member of the FOC satellite AIT team and will work in close collaboration with the other team members. sharing with them as a team the responsibility of supporting the productionAITEVTLC. oncall support in 247 shift with other team members might be required during the test campaign such as TVAC. Actively support AIT problems trouble shooting and resolution perform AIT schedule assessment, identify associated risk, propose mitigation actions. Minimum 10 years experience in Environmental Test Campaigns and Launch Campaigns experience. Knowledge and experience on MGSEEGSE. Experience in management and monitoring of industrial activities specific knowhow wrt payloads activities position 1 and satellite constellations position 2. For position 2, elligibility for security clearance. Fluent in the English language spoken and written. Knowledge of another European language is an asset. Job description For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are seeking an experienced Power Conditioning Engineer to work at ESAs ESTEC site in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAESTECs Power Management Distribution Section within the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. The Section provides support to ESA projects in the power conditioning domain, including analysis, design, simulation, and laboratory testing, as well as actively pursuing RD activities with the Directorates RD programmes. The tasks to be performed are to support the generic section tasks detailed below The design, development and test of spacecraft power systems for onboard applications. This work encompasses the definition of centralised power systems having overall power levels up to 25 kilowatts, together with their interfaces with respect to solar arrays and batteries, the attendant power distributionprotection equipment and pyrotechnic activation functions. Detailed tasks include the overall system design necessary for the development of faulttolerant power control and distribution concepts, the detailed design of the power regulators and the identificationuse of tools and methods for ensuring dependable design and verification. The development of simulation blocks for system analysis batteries, solar cells arrays, power control and distribution units useful for the independent evaluation of critical power and energy budgets in support to running projects of the Agency. Support to laboratory activities concerning design and development or verification of circuits for power management and distribution solar array and battery conversion electronics, power distribution and protection electronics, power conversion for generic and specific purposes, including redundancy and protections. Active involvement in critical RD activities support by simulation, worst case analysis and laboratory testing of the overall system or of the most critical subunits. Assisting to the development and validation of worst case simulation blocks for electrical equipment analysis converters, shunt regulators, current limiters, protections, critical telemetry or telecommand functions useful for the independent check of the most critical equipment functionality and performances, in support to all programmes reviews where the power conditioning section is involved. The development and verification of high voltage design technologies and associated power converters, suitable for application as Electronic Power Conditioners EPCs for specialised spacecraft payloads such as Travelling Wave Tube Assemblies TWTAs and Electric Propulsion Concepts. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics. Overview We are looking for an experienced IT Developer and Systems Engineer, to join our team which provides onsite support at ESAC, located in Madrid, Spain. The candidate will provide Specific Computer Engineering Support for the SciOps technical IT Unit team at ESAC. It involves system administration activities for those computer systems used for science operations and research activities to all science operations centres and science ground segments located at ESAC, either in development, operational or in postoperational phase. These computers are general servers or workstations mainly based on Linux and Sun Solaris, Macintoshes, PC for Office Automation activities. The environment also includes Disk Storage infrastructure, Virtual infrastructure as well as GRIDCluster and Cloud computing infrastructures. Systems can be physical machines or provided through virtual and cloud infrastructure. These systems are connected to networks organized by functions operational, office and development, external services, GRID, Cloud and administration networks. It specifically excludes ESA corporate informatics infrastructure services office automation, network, terminal servers, Lotus Notes, MS office, LAN and communications, In particular we are looking for candidates to provide evolution within the following areas virtualization, cloud, storage, monitoring, machine data analytics, containers, hadoopspark, backup, with a focus on lean and automation. A specific support on the following tasks is requested Installation and administration of container orchestration environments Installation and administration of spark and hadoop cluster Automation of any of the tasks described in this work package.
