Data Handling Engineer Client and Location For one of our clients, ETS B.V., we are looking for a Data Handling Engineer for their location in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, to perform the companies tasks in the field of thermal and mechanical testing. European Test Services ETS B.V. is a jointventure between IABG mbH and Airbus Defence Space SAS and is located in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. ETS maintains and operates the environmental test centre of the European Space Agency ESAESTEC. Tasks and Responsibilities Operation of data handling facilities during test preparation, execution and posttest activities Performance of corrective and preventive maintenance of Thermal and Mechanical Data Handling facilities. Supporting the Test Programme Managers and test engineers in all technical issues related to data handling. Handling and calibration of Thermal and Mechanical test instrumentation. Participation to technical reviews such as Nonconformance Review Board, Facility Readiness Review, Lesson Learnt Review. Supporting of facility modifications and upgrades. Compilation of test and maintenance documentation. Cooperating with international customers in the frame of complex space programs and industrial projects. Experience and Education A university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent. Coursework training in process control, signal processing and measurement systems techniques. Good knowledge of signal processing and sensors applied to thermal and mechanical testing. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Good knowledge of English language. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment. Ability to perform tasks accurately according to internal processes and customer needs. Good communications skills and team spirit. Proactive attitude to solve problems with a critical mind. Background and experience in GNSS systems and technologies, in particular for PVT integrity including SBAS, RAIMARAIM, integration of sensors, etc. Experience in system design and technologies in the field of wireless systems for safetyrelated applications e.g. radionavigation and telecommunications, and in the field of user equipment technologies e.g. signal processing, design, performances, standardization, etc. for wireless systems e.g. GNSS, 3GPP, etc. Background or experience in at least one of the following is desirable wireless security, GNSS PVT assurance, any of the aforementioned application domains railway, automotive, maritime and their associated safety standards.. In order to provide our customer with an excellent Assembly, Integration, and Verification AIV service, we are looking for a software engineer ideally with experience in the Earth Observation Domain. Responsibilities Duties The principal task of the AIV engineering service team is to perform the AIV engineering activities foreseen for the integration, validation and verification of the MTG system, coordinated by the EUMETSAT Technical Officer.
