Daimler's Mercedes-AMG performance cars division aims to more than double vehicle sales over the next three years as it pushes expansion into compact cars, a senior executive said. Deliveries at AMG swelled to 32,200 cars in 2013 on demand for souped-up versions of Mercedes regular models, including the introduction last year of the 49,980 euro A 45 AMG hatchback, its first compact.

LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's home appliance and smartphone maker, on Thursday replaced the head of its mobile division with the marketing chief of its parent company in a reshuffle aimed at further pushing the handset business that has recently gained steam after a slowdown. Cho Juno, director and chief operating officer at LG Corp., the de facto holding company of LG Electronics, will take the helm of the mobile communications department, succeeding Park Jong-seok, the company said.

The first robot and networked tablets are making their way today to an Ebola treatment unit in Liberia, where they will give aid workers their first chance at sharing data about the deadly outbreak.
