One of our clients in the UK is looking for a Power Systems Engineer. The key candidate will be working closely with LEO GEO Power systems. Tasks Identification and flowdown of spacecraft system requirements to the spacecraft power system. Delivery of a power system solution that meets these requirements. Management and verification of these requirements. Ownership of the power system and all aspects feeding into and of it. System subsystem level interfacing and tradeoffs. Manage technical solution, supporting design engineers. Management and delivery of satellite power systems work packages including budget and schedule. Interface with internal and external customers. Authoring of technical documents including testverification plans, procedures and technical descriptions. Qualifications BTEC Degree in Electronics or a relevant discipline. Experience Proven System Engineering experience in a systems power electronics role, ideally in the Space or Aerospace industry. Knowledge and Skills Selfmotivated and able to manage a package of work. Excellent interpersonal skills both written and oral communications ability to interface with customers and technical representatives. Good organisation skills and able to prioritise own workload. Good understanding of analogue and power electronics. Creative problem solving. Flexible adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to work simultaneously on a variety of projects. Ability to work under pressure. Good attention to detail. Good MS Office skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint particularly.
Lead Galileo FOC Payload Systems Engineer

One of our clients in the UK is looking for a Lead Galileo FOC Payload Systems Engineer. The key candidate will have many roles, for example supplier data review, test results review and analysis, anomaly and NRB investigations, system level verification modelling and requirements closeout and presentation of information to stakeholders at all levels. Tasks Supplier data review and engineering assessment of RF unit performance and analysis of effects at system level. Assessment of performance including review of payload test results and telemetry, leading anomaly investigations and holding customer reviews. System level modelling and analysis of navigation system performance Matlab. Customer facing presentation of results, analysis and technical justifications Support to inorbittesting and validation. Providing inputs into operations. Qualification A university degree in a relevant engineering subject. Experience Demonstrable experience in a similar role. Experience with working with an ESA customer or similar institutional customer would be very desirable. Knowledge of satellite production environments and test methods would be desirable. Detailed knowledge of RF systems, key parameters, design drivers and anomaly investigations. An understanding of the effects of RF chain signal generation, frequency conversion, HPA, filters and passives on signal distortions and performance would be desirable. Experience of high accuracy clock design, operation and performance drivers would be an advantageous. Detailed understanding of GPS GNSS systems and signals is essential. Knowledge and Skills Good allround knowledge of RF systems along with Matlab processing and data analysis skills is highly desirable. Excellent customer and supplier interfacing skills are essential for the role. Understanding of satellite navigation modulation schemes would be preferable. Selfdriven approach and ability to work with minimal direction. Ability to work directly with clients, internal and external, at all levels, and to present results, solutions and justifications with authority. Have a flexible, methodical approach to work, combined with drive and determination to complete activities whilst under pressure. Demonstrable attention to detail in ensuring that the system will function as designed. Excellent team working skills, together with the ability to interface with others at all levels. Excellent written oral communication and presentation skills. Flexibility, and the ability to travel if required may be necessary to support offsite test campaigns and meetings.
