Electronics Design Engineer Rocket Lab is looking for an electronic design engineer to take ownership of custom avionics components through the full development cycle. The role will require an experienced PCB designer with a proven track record in highspeed, high density digital and analog design. With one successful launch completed and our next launch date is fast approaching, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running so previous experience is vital. Key Responsibilities Create complex and highperformance PCBs for a production environment. Endtoend PCBA design Specification, architecture, design, layout, prototype bringup validation, manufacturing. Drive design for manufacturability, design for test, design for assembly. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and technologies. Contribute to design reviews acting as an expert in DFM, DFT, yield improvements, quality control etc. Minimum requirements Degree in Electronics Engineering Proven track record of highspeed, highdensity digital and analog design. 7 years circuit board design experience using Altium Designer Experience in fastpaced commercial based projects. Experience with design for manufacture, design for assembly, and design for test. Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral. Preferred Skills and Experience VHDL and FPGA design C programming Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, ECN, production process is an added advantage. A Senior Design Engineer is required within the Mechanical Design Office team to work on Telecommunications Projects. As the Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a high degree of CAD competence in spacecraft design accommodation including Detailed Design within an engineering group or Project team environment. You will be providing good engineering design support on bids, studies project work and liaising with internal external customers in the product groups business units. You will be an integral part of a small Team of Design Engineers supporting a Principal Designer. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be To work within a concurrent engineering Project team reporting to the MDO Group leader. To liaise with stress, thermal mechanical subsystem groups having a good appreciation of their work. To carry out DMU design accommodation activities given a detailed toplevel requirement specification. Responsible for the creation, control, correctness accuracy of all drawings, models, Digital Mock Up DMU, bills of materials engineering change notes as related to the configured items for allocated projects to cost schedule. To ensure all outputs from the Mechanical Design Office MDO are correct to the project requirements as stated by the core team generally the Mechanical Architect Responsible Engineer. All the project DO outputs must be checked, signed stamped by the MDO lead design engineer to the checklists CATIA procedures. Administer the release of drawings, BOMs ECOs related to the allocated project.
