Mechanical Design Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Mechanical Design Office, you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures Employing new design concepts and materials such as composites fibrereinforced and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Installation and integration studies on satellite and subsystem levels Hardware procurement and manufacturing support Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects. The role would be ideally suited to a mixed signal design engineer with experience of driving imaging sensors and looking for a career move. Responsibility for the delivery of Imager Electronic equipment. The role includes full design life cycle from the requirements capture stage through design, production and test to inorbit verification and commissioning of Imager Electronic systems.
