The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says an inmate who escaped from a West Palm Beach-area prison has been captured in New York City. The Palm Beach Post reports New York City police arrested 53-year-old Philip Peletz as he tried to leave an Abercrombie & Fitch store Aug. 21 with more than $1,400 in merchandise.

The newly released report by the NY State Public Service Commission "Staff Assessment of Telecommunications Services" , is a model of how a corrupted government agency helped Verizon get continuous rate increases, allows for egregious communications bills and deceptive marketing to be 'business as usual', covers over Verizon's failure to deliver on the commitment for 'massive deployment of fiber optics' and then claims that competition truly exists.
