Senior Analyst, Satellite Applications Luxembourg Betzdorf ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the department support and business analysis activities. A key objective is to establish a relationship to Satellite Applications key business partners and stakeholders to analyse key business and data requirements for software development within Satellite Applications. As part of the role, the incumbent will document and manage requirements for applications, data and interfaces and will liaise with external suppliers to align and implement the requirements. The incumbent will also be responsible for translating overall company business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects, technologies and initiatives in mind. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Coordinate the department support and business analysis activities Analyse the structure of SES business and what software applications are required, how it uses technology and what its goals are Identify problems within the SES business, including through using data modelling techniques Define data structures for data exchange between applications using tools and data modelling techniques Develop or support development of conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data analysis, data integration and business intelligence Interpret client interface needs and proposal of interactions to fulfil business needs Define APIs for communication and data exchange between IT systems Record interface requirements in document of interface scope Communicate with business stakeholders, users and senior people in the organisation to identify issues, analyse requirements and define and present solutions Collaborate closely with the companys enterprise architecture group to define data strategies and procedures on a global company level Develop, manage, and communicate policies and standards for data governance and data management life cycle ensure adherence by supporting andor conducting governance meetings Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion Support design and execution of testing procedures for Satellite Applications Collaborate with the Satellite Applications support team in resolving issues related to applications or data requirements Support the training activities of end users on Satellite Applications Perform other tasks falling within the scope of area of expertise as requested Ensure compliance with procedures, methodologies and audit rules Provide input to the Manager, Satellite Applications for administrative, budgetary and management tasks COMPETENCIES Effective interpersonal and oral and written communication skills Ability to think out of the box Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Ability to gain effective knowledge of new technologies including cloud providers AWS, Azure, and technologies Kafka, Mulesoft, etc. and proposeassist in planning to leverage to benefit the organisation and its initiatives Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to integrate into crossfunctional teams, work internationally in a matrixmanaged, resultsoriented environment Excellent presentation skills ability to effectively interact with all organisational stakeholders and external suppliers Ability to set priorities autonomously and to deliver results, even under tight deadlines Ability to overcome resistance to change Ability to work in agile project environments Ability to occasionally travel, and conduct multitime zone meetings outside of local business hours as appropriate Selfmotivated and demonstrate doer mentality Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or equivalent Strong, handson knowledge of and a minimum of seven 7 years of working experience as businessdata analyst ideally in a similar position Ideally a minimum of three 3 years in a team coordination role Advanced knowledge of data architecture principles, methods, and techniques Good knowledge of business processes Good knowledge of IT technologies and systems Good understanding of the telecommunications and multimedia industry satellite technology and business landscape are an asset Experience with data design and modeling including conducting workshops and interviews, dimensional modeling, and logical and physical modeling Good knowledge of data structures and understanding elements of XML and sound knowledge of XPath and XML Schema XSD Demonstrated ability to use database query languages and tools to retrieve, examine, evaluate, combine and manipulate data from multiple sources Demonstrated ability to use programming languages and application development tools Familiarity with any data or enterprise architecture modeling tool Working knowledge in Microsoft tools Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Key performance indicator Successful team coordination Meet annual objectives Precise documentation of business and data requirements Timely implementation for hisher tasks and activities Main interfaces to other departments Business representatives to define business needs Business applications development and support teams External suppliers to manage requirements and interface needs Enterprise Architecture group to define data requirements SES is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer Whats in it for you? We are looking to supplement our very talented team in Berlin with a Senior Telecommunications Regulatory Analyst wm The Telecommunications Regulatory Analyst will hold a technical and business development role within KLEO and involved primarily in matters pertaining to spectrum optimization, utilization, and licensing. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking engineering and administrative support the companys global licensing and coordination activities with ITU, FCC, and other local government regulators analysis, monitoring, and mini project management as part of the responsibilities below. They will have a role as an interface, between Engineering and Business Development teams and international technical partners, to ensure that service delivery fulfill company and design objectives respectively. Main Responsibilities Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely regulatory filings in all jurisdictions where Kaskilo plans for service and operations. Involves gathering, compiling and formatting supporting data from various sources to complete filing. Prepare responses to regulatory communications, enforcement actions, other government inquiries and consultations. Draft and review complex regulatory documents. Perform technical and regulatory studies through calculation and or simulations to prepare relevant documentation to support activities at national and international frequency coordination meetings. Work with data bases of information related to spectrum and telecommunication regulations in support of markets accesslicensingcommercial functions. Assist with the implementation and review of regulatory surcharges. Develop budgets to capture individual and ongoing operational expenses. Responsible for the market access and licensing activities globally. Responsible for driving all the necessary activities in the domain of regulatory, legal and policy change ensures compliance with national and international telecom and spectrum regulations and processes. Responsible for keeping the companys leadership team informed of regional developments and provides relevant strategic guidance. Work with other members of the Engineering and Business Development teams, to drive strategy and determine practical actions on spectrum management activities around the globe related to the company, and ensures that appropriate actions are taken to support company internal and external spectrum activities. Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree, engineering preferred, and regulatory experience in satellite spectrum matters. 5 years of relevant experience, and demonstrated success in negotiating of spectrum rights. Experience in working with foreign government officials and regulators. Knowledge of regulated and nonregulated activities within the telecommunications industry. Experience related to international ITU regulations for telecommunications and licensing activities,and processes for driving necessary regulatory changes or ensuring compliance. Experience with FCC, CITEL and or other national and international bodies related to satellite and spectrum management areas. Experience with the CEPT and ETSI processes in the development of ECC Decisions, Report and Standards. Analytical ability required to review and analyze information and data to recommend policies, procedures and formulate any required actions. Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Coordination of crossfunctional teams including engineering, legal, finance, and business to solve issues and achieve results. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, and strives for ways to improve and promote quality. Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written. Demonstrated persuasive argument and advocacy skills, balancing these with the art of negotiation, compromise, and sound judgment. Fluency in English, other languages particularly German or Chinese considered an asset. Willingness to travel overseas. Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting Consolidation Luxembourg Betzdorf You will be hired to support the Financial Reporting team. You will be a key contributor at the group level to the monthly closing process, both in carrying out group level consolidation and also in advising and supporting Finance colleagues worldwide. You will be involved in tasks and projects under the supervision of the Team Leader, Financial Reporting, including groupwide system upgrades and process transitions and you will be involved in the analysis of the financial results of the group. You will autonomously resolve operational matters arising during the closing, unless they are of significance where guidance is needed from the Team Leader, Financial Reporting.
