Our report compares the cotton fiber and yarn prices in China, India, and Pakistan, in the past months and in the month-to-date, offering a comprehensive and updated view of the yarn/fiber spreads in the three countries. These gross margins of domestic spinners are displayed every month, with 10-year historical data available for download.

Polyester intermediate prices have remained firm in the past seven days in Asia, over an accidental fall in PTA production in China. With Chinese capacities rising this year significantly, PTA prices are not expected to rebound, however. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Polyester prices have bottomed out in the past days in China, due to an overall return to optimism on financial markets, including the PSF futures in Zhengzhou. Inventory levels are staying at low levels at fiber processing plants in China, in addition. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fibers (PSF) and the Polyester Filament Yarns (POY, DTY, FDY) in China, India, and Pakistan. Cotton yarn prices have declined in the past week in India, for the first time in three months. Our weekly report covers fiber and spun yarn prices in India, including cotton, polyester, and viscose fiber prices. A large number of yarn prices are also reviewed every week, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic. Organic and BCI cotton fiber and yarn prices are available. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices to assess the latest trends in margins of Indian spinners.
