Viscose staple fiber prices have very slightly bottomed out today in China, rising for the first time since early July. The short-lived polyester rally of the last days may have triggered the price increase. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the previous 12 months. Polyester staple fiber prices have significantly risen in China and Pakistan, following attacks on Saudi oil facilities and a consecutive rebound of PTA and MEG prices.
