Polyester intermediate prices have risen in the past seven days in Asia, supported by a new jump of crude oil prices, although polyester fiber prices have begun dropping. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.

Viscose fiber prices have continued to decline in the last days in China and in Pakistan with 100% viscose yarn prices everywhere dropping to lower levels. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months, in addition.

Polyester prices are no more rising in China, although still increasing in Pakistan. A decline of demand has stabilized prices which have surged in the past months and years, boosting profits at polyester plants in China. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose.
