Your Tasks Include The main task of the consultant will be the maintenance and further development of the operational MSG Image Processing Facility IMPF software, in particular, the algorithm and data processing aspects of the IMPF software. In addition, the consultant may also support development activities of the MTG and EPSSG Programmes. Primarily these development activities will focus on the Image Navigation and Registration processing, which is part of the mission instrument data processing. Both online and offline functions development are part of these activities. Your Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as remote sensing, physics, aerospace engineering or computer sciencesoftware engineering, the Consultant shall have very strong C and mathematical skills and at least five years recent experience in Objectoriented system design. UNIX. Implementation of numerical algorithms. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Consultant to have experience with some of the following Realtime image processing of large volumes of data. Geometric correction navigation registration of satellite images. Radiometric correction calibration of satellite images. Performance optimisation of algorithms. IDL or MATLAB.
