Web Development Software Engineer for Spacecraft Software

For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for a Satellite Application Facilities Web Engineer to support the SAF Network Management team in preparing SAF Reviews, including their associated webrelated elements for the control of information exchanged made available via intranet and internet. In doing so, heshe shall work in close coordination with the PRS PRocess assurance and management Support division and other EUMETSAT project teams. Tasks and Responsibilities The key person shall accomplish the following tasks Engineering support tasks EUMESTAT SAF Network Management Review Support o To support the organisation of the SAF reviews related to the evolution of SAF products or operational chains already in operations o To support the organisation of the SAF reviews related to the development of new SAF products or operational chains, in particular in relation to the implementation of requirements related to the new satellite programmes in development and in particular MTG and EPSSG o To act, if requested, as secretary of SAF Reviews. Support to followon of new SAF Developments o Support the activities for the followon of new SAF Developments, including evolution of requirements, evolution of design and interfaces, with respect to baselined plans o Support the establishment and maintenance of the technical baseline Requirements, Design, VV of each SAF, including generation of synthesis elements to be made available via InternetExtranet o Support the supervision and assessment of SAF Verification and Validation activities for all new productsoperational chains. Webbased support tasks SAF Web Area maintenance o Maintain, and refine the SAF Network Management Intranet and Extranet areas and related content o In particular, maintain and update the EUMETSAT Webbased Review Support Tool based on the concept of Review Items Discrepancies, RIDs, according to needs of the SAF Network and other EUMETSAT activities. Maintenance of Web Content and Documentation Baseline o Maintenance of EUMETSAT SAFs Web Area contents Internet and Intranet o Maintenance and Synchronisation of the archived Documentation Baseline with the related SAF Web sites Documentation Baseline o Ingestion of the related new documentation metadata into the supporting Database o Maintenance of the SAF System Architectural synthesis available through the Web o Representation of PRS at crossorganisational Web Service related meetings. Requirements As a minimum, the consultant shall have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent, and a proven experience and skills as specified hereafter. The team leads projects for the European Space Agency, is involved in European Commission Research and Technology Development programmes, is developing commercial applications and frequently works with international partners.
