The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is hosting a public hearing about Intel's proposed air quality permit from 6-9 p.m. tonight at the Hillsboro Civic Center. As the Hillsboro Argus/OregonLive reported last week , the state proposes approving an expansion of Intel's semiconductor facilities at the company's Aloha and Ronler Acres campuses and approving higher limits for air pollutant emissions because of the expansion.

Google reportedly is two years into a plan to consolidate the Chrome operating system and Android and plans to roll out a combined OS in 2017.
