Renesas Electronics is planning a move in the power semiconductor market as part of an ongoing restructuring of the company which has seen it manufacture fewer of its chips and refocus its microcontroller business and move out of the mobile and consumer market. Oracle has wrapped up its $5.3 billion acquisition of Micros, maker of hardware and software for the hospitality industry, in its biggest deal since the purchase of Sun Microsystems in 2010.
