Spandex and PTMEG Prices in China (Monthly Report)

Spandex prices have very slightly dropped in the past four weeks in China, reflecting the current weakness in demand from downward processors. Raw material costs have ben mixed in the meantime, with PTMEG and MDI moving differently. Spandex prices are now very low by historical standard, as reflected by our 10-year data. Our monthly report covers spandex and PTMEG prices on the domestic Chinese market, with gross margin trends at spandex plants on a weekly basis. Daily data over the last 12 months and monthly average prices over 10 years are available for download.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have begun more clearly declining in China, in line with a lack of demand from downward textile and apparel producers, now reluctant in buying yarns ahead of additional US sanctions over Chinese imports. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.
