(Telecompaper) Reliance Jio Infocomm announced it has signed a definitive agreement with Reliance Communications (RCom) for the acquisition of RCom's wireless assets. Jio has agreed to acquire towers, the fibre-optic cable network, spectrum and media convergence nodes from RCom and its affiliates. The assets are are expected to contribute significantly to the large-scale roll-out of wireless, FTTH and enterprise services by Reliance Jio Infocomm," the company said.

(Telecompaper) VodafoneZiggo has claimed a first in the Vodafone Group with the decision to phase out its 3G network in order to devote the spectrum to 4G services.
