Job Description We are looking for a Prodex and Future Mission System Engineer on behalf of the European Space Agency ESA for their location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, to join their Planetary Exploration and Solar System Missions Unit. The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Provide inputs to and support to the definition of the programme of work for the development of the PRODEX experiments within the scientific institutes, in line with the instructions received from the PRODEX management. This task will include support to the review of the experiment proposals, the preparation, the implementation and the monitoring of the research agreements between the Institutes and the PRODEX Office. Requirements Masters degree in physics or space engineering or related fields Demonstrated experience minimum 4 years in space instrumentation development, including system engineering Demonstrated experience in interacting with scientific institutions and industry Demonstrated experience in the implementation, design, definition, manufacturing and test of Space Scientific Instruments in one of the domains of the Programme Experience with administrative tasks related to experiment and project implementation Knowledge of project managements notions is mandatory Knowledge of project control principles is an asset Ability to be systemoriented, with a general understanding of the projectproblem to solve Ability to consult Agency specialists when deeper expertise is needed, and to integrate their inputs into a more global solution.
