Summary An opportunity for a software engineer experienced in Java, to work in the project office onsite at ESAC for Telespazio VEGA UK. Objective This is a temporary role working within the Science Archives team, to support frontend development taking care of the continuous integration and control configuration. Overview Software engineer support is required for software engineering tasks in the developmentmaintenance or enhancement of the SOC systems. Summary of the role The Data Flow Infrastructure group DFI within the Science Operations Software department SCS is responsible for developing and maintaining software components, which are critical for the endtoend operations of the ESO Observatories. The Data Flow Infrastructure software includes tools for proposal submission, observation preparation and execution, archive ingestion and retrieval, data organization and execution of data reduction pipelines. Requirements The ideal consultant is a software engineer with a minimum of 3 years professional experience in software development.
