Commodity Classic 2013 was held in Kissimmee, Fla., this year. There were so many educational sessions for farmers, from soybean secrets to transitioning the farm, new-product introductions to marketing plans. The general session captivated all attendees, offering viewpoints from commodity groups and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. There was fun with all the learning, too. World Class Rockers provided entertainment, and palm trees provided a beautiful view. And don't forget about the trade show with exhibitors from all areas of agriculture. Astrium Satellites Portsmouth Within the Centre of Competence for EEE Components and PCBs CoC EEE, you will be responsible for the management of one EEE products family passive parts and for the Printed Circuit Boards. In this role, you will be the main contact person for suppliers relationship management. Your main activities will be to define the purchasing strategy for your product families based on the supplier market and on the current and future Astrium needs to consolidate the global Astrium forecast for your product families to lead the sourcing phase for new suppliers to negotiate frame contracts with most important suppliers in order to get the expected savings and to secure the purchasing to manage suppliers approval to perform suppliers evaluation and development process to support the standardization process and the management of obsolescence process You will report to the Head of Commodity Management department. You will work closely with the other CoC EEE departments local procurements, quality, technology, radiation and with all Astrium electronic equipment centres and subsidiaries across Europe. The mission will require travels to the different Astrium locations UK, Germany, France, Spain and to the suppliers premises Europe mainly, but also US. You have a strong technical education University or equivalent in Electronic andor Electrical Engineering. You have worked for more than 5 years in the Electronic domain, including a significant previous experience in the procurement. Knowledge of space activities and requirements for materials quality, radiation would be beneficial. You have a strong knowledge of EEE components and a good understanding of the PCBs technology and market. You are customer and service oriented, with excellent communication skills. You have ability and high motivation for working and developing relationships in an international environment, with significant cultural differences. You are able to work with high level of autonomy and have strategic thinking. You have a negotiation level in English. Additional language German, French... would be highly appreciated.
