As a Laboratory Engineering Technician you will be working within the laboratory of ESTEC and you will contribute to various experiments for internal and external customers. These experiments and inspections are carried out in energy storage, photovoltaic power conversion systems. The successful applicant will be part of the proud ESPLteam consisting out of 6 team members, and will be working alongside a team of scientific staff performing investigations and experiments. Successful Candidate Our future colleague should have Bachelors degree within Mechatronics, ElectroMechanics, Physics or similar areas. However this is not our main focus. Were looking for a colleague with a handson mentality, that is a good fit within the team. The lack of degree can be compensated in years of relevant experience Versatile experience and knowledge of laboratory testing environments. Electronic Engineering Technician Key Tasks and Responsibilities Working in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality at ESAESTEC, you will have the following responsibilities Handling and management of a pool of electronic equipment for the ESTEC Test Centre and ESTEC laboratory users Organizing and supervising of calibration, maintenance and repair of electronic instruments including the related administration tasks Maintenance and operation of the laboratory accredited methods according to ISOIEC 17025 Support and advice to the ESTEC Test Centre Customers, ESA projects and the ESTEC labs in the field of electrical metrology. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in electronic engineering or another relevant area Professional experience in the field of electronic test laboratories A good knowledge of engineering measurement methodologies Familiarity with the ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards Familiarity with implementation and management of databases advantageous Experience with electrical CAD software and electrical safety inspection would be an asset. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Noordwijk.
