Bombardier wins $331 million New Jersey Transit maintenance contract

Bombardier Transportation says it has won a $331 million contract to continue operating and maintaining a New Jersey Transit light rail system. A Bombardier subsidiary that has done the work since the River Line opened more than a decade ago will continue with the project for 15 years, plus an additional five-year option.

New York transit authority sued for denying anti-Islamic bus ad

An anti-Islam group filed a civil rights lawsuit against New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Wednesday for refusing to run a so-called "Hamas Killing Jews" advertisement on city busses, the group's attorney said. The American Freedom Defense Initiative claims the state agency violated its constitutional rights by turning down advertisements that included the slogan, "Killing Jews is worship that draws us close to Allah - Hamas MTV," the lawyer said.
