Cuban government allows e-mail access on mobile phones
2014-03-17 11:18:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) The Cuban government has enabled the general public to access e-mail via their mobile phones, reports Noticias 24. The state-owned operator Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (Etecsa) is responsible for launching the service. Cubans can now receive messages on their mobile phones via the domain @nauta.cu. For the moment, it is not possible to access any other type of webmail or free e-mail service on the internet, for which reason it is recommended that electronic mail should be redirected to the Nauta account. The cost will be CUC 1 per 1 MB.
