Telespazio VEGA has been the leading contractor on this Frame Contract to ESOC for over 30 years, currently providing a Service Team of over 80 qualified engineers and scientists. This frame contract providing support to ESOCs Operations Engineering division supports all ESAs mission, whether Earth Observation, Astronomical or Interplanetary from both the Satellite and Ground Segment perspective. To further develop its engineering activities in ESOC Telespazio VEGA is looking for several engineers who are interested to get presented in ESOC and are qualified for the following position Ground Station Engineers MF RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES For the operational support to ESAs missions, ESOC utilises the ESA Tracking Network ESTRACK. The key stations for both nominal and LEOP operations are Kourou French Guiana, Cebreros Spain, Maspalomas Spain, Kiruna Sweden, Malarge Argentina, New Norcia Australia, Malindi Kenya and Redu Belgium. Specifically we are seeking Ground Station Engineers to support the Redu station in Belgium and the Malarge station in Argentina. Typically one Station Engineer is nominated per station. In this role, the Station Engineer is responsible for maintenance and operations of the station with the support of The onsite MO team The engineering team located at ESOC The logistic support located at ESOC. The service includes overseeing The interfaces with the Ground Station MO teams Ground Station configuration Maintenance Obsolescence Management Upgrades Support to Ground Station operations QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE A degree qualified engineer to join the existing Telespazio VEGA Service Team at ESOC ESSENTIAL SKILLS Experience in activities applicable to Ground Segment Operations Engineering Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordination and interaction with other service providers in operations and other fields. First line GNDF ISMS user support. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline and 7 years of experience in Operations Engineering activities. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Experience in activities applicable to ground segment operations engineering. Fluency in English, both in speech and writing.
