Important deadline for tax credits on Solar energy systems purchased on or before Dec. 31, 2017

The Oregon Department of Energy provides residential homeowners with up to a $6,000 tax credit for their 2017 taxes (with credit taken over four years) for the installation of solar energy systems. In order to qualify for this tax credit, individual projects need to have installation completed and final permits issued by the City of Portland by Sunday, April 1, 2018. Only homeowners who purchased solar systems by Dec. 31, 2017, are eligible for the tax credits.

While pre-paid margins are significantly healthier than post-paid rates, both in terms of per minute voice call charges and per Mb data consumption, the relationship between customer and operator is fleeting, with customers being able to switch with consummate ease between pay as you go providers. The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) said in a press release that the tax reform bill passed by the House retroactively changes how businesses can qualify for wind energys primary investment tools, the wind energy Production Tax Credit (PTC) and Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which are already on a path to phase out by 2019.
