We are looking for two ESERO Project Officers Sc to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Support the implementation of the European Space Education Resource Office ESERO project and network for the primary and secondary education communities in ESAs Member States, both from the STEM Education and project management points of view. Supporting the follow up of all ESERO contracts in particular acting as one of ESA Education contact points for the ESERO Project Managers, followingup on STEM education deliverables teacher training, classroom resources and activities, project awareness raising, reporting and invoicing related issues Supporting the organization of progress meetings with each ESERO Office and related stakeholdersnational partners, as well as providing support to the organization of annual workshops with all ESERO managers Providing feedback to ESERO national operators on the suitability of ESERO deliverables from the point of view of their scientifictechnical and educational accuracy and adequacy Ensuring the proper transfer of ESA technical and scientific knowhow, properly filtered for educational purposes, to the ESERO network to this end, liaise with the ESAESERO Working Groups, and with ESA scientificand technical experts for fact and information finding and filtering facilitating access to ESA experts when required In accordance with the demand and opportunities identified by ESA and the ESEROs, proposing ways to make ESA educational content and activities accessible to education networks and providers Supporting the evaluation of ESERO activities against Key Performance Indicators Responding to the direct contacts and requests from education stakeholders, networks, projects and providers in ESA Member States and, when required, in EU Member States andor beyond European level Contributing to the promotion of ESERO activities through appropriate outreach channels within and outside ESA, and ensuring the compliance of ESERO activities with the outreach guidelines in force Contribute to the outreach activities of the ESA Education office when required. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required As per job class, with a university Master degree, or equivalent, in a STEM discipline Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and experience in large scale education projects, possibly at European level active schoollevel STEM teaching and communication are an asset Experience in international environments Autonomy in the execution of tasks and ability to manage workload and identifying priorities ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines and deliver on time Fluent in English knowledge of another Member State language is an asset Good communication skills, verbal in public and during formal meetings and written ability to work in a team Availability to travel. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries. The European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC is the largest site and the technical heart of ESA. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands. At ESTEC, about 2500 engineers, technicians and scientists work handson with mission design, spacecraft and space technology. Almost all ESA projects except launchers are managed from ESTEC. Project Officer SST

The Space Surveillance Tracking SST Support Framework supports the actions aimed at establishing an SST capability at European level with an appropriate level of European autonomy. Activities in the area of SST, aim to protect space infrastructure, facilities and services, which are essential for the safety and security of the economies, societies and citizens in Europe. With the objective of contributing to these activities, allowing the EU and its Member States to better access and use space in line with the EU Space Policy, the EU adopted, on 16 April 2014, the SST Decision in order to establish an SST Support Framework. This Framework is being implemented by the SST Consortium currently composed of five Member States in cooperation with the EU SatCen, in the provision of SST services e.g. satellite collision avoidance, inorbit fragmentation analysis, uncontrolled reentry of space objects prediction. For this, the EU SatCen is managing the EU SST Front Desk, and contributing to the interaction with potential and registered SST users. SatCen also plays an active role in other transversal areas within the SST Support Framework with the objective to consolidate a SST capability at European level.
