(Telecompaper) Apple has updated its smartwatch with the new Apple Watch Series 4. While maintaining a similar design, they come with a larger display in a smaller case and a range of new functions focused on the health segment, including a new accelerometer and gyroscope, which are able to detect hard falls, and an electrical heart rate sensor that can take an electrocardiogram (ECG).

Telia intros hybrid fixed-mobile broadband service in Finland

(Telecompaper) Kalle Muhonen, broadband service business manager, said Hybrid Broadband will make surfing the web easier for more than 1 million Finnish households. It supports several users and makes it easier to watch TV, even in HD. Muhonen said that in Pori, for example, only about one in ten homes has been able to get fast and reliable fixed broadband from Telia, but the new hybrid network will enable nearly every household in the city to watch elite league ice hockey.

Qualcomm intros new range of SoCs for smart camera market
