Pratt & Whitney AeroPower, a division of United Technologies Corp. , has signed a long-term repair support agreement for the APS5000 auxiliary power unit with Air India Ltd., for its fleet of seven future and 20 existing Boeing 787-8 series aircraft. The support agreement covers repairs of the APU and its Line Replaceable Units .

Analog Devices, Inc. introduced eight SHARCA processors as part of a new, high-performance, power-efficient, real-time series that delivers peak performance greater than 24 giga-floating-point operations per second using two enhanced SHARC+A cores and advanced DSP accelerators . The ADSP-SC58x and ADSP-2158x series consume less than two watts at high temperature, making the new processor line-up more than five times more power efficient than previous SHARC products and more than two times more efficient than the nearest competitive processors.
