Active Space Technologies is working for customers such as the European Space Agency ESA, the German Aerospace Center DLR, Selex, Thales Alenia and various European SMEs. Job Description In the frame of different ESA and NASA space missions, Active Space Technologies GmbH is performing AIT activities for Space Hardware for different space missions in its internal test facilities as well as supporting its clients in their AIT tasks. To lead these activities, Active Space Technologies is looking for an AIT Manager. The candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks Plan test campaigns of Space Hardware for both development and Qualification purposes, including assessment of capabilities and test facilities, scheduling and coordination of all involved parties , resolution of conflicts and difficulties, and optimization of facility usage. Take responsibility for Qualification and Development Test Campaigns, for internal Projects as well as for thirdparty clients Write internal test specifications, test procedures and review external testrelated documentation, including test reports, test logs and unit logbooks. Organize and chair TRR and TRB Meetings and provide support for NonConformance and Anomaly resolutions during tests. Manage the internal AIT facilities, plan the AIT laboratory development and support the CEO in all the strategic decisions regarding AIT. Supervise and manage the procurement of AITrelated hardware e.g. test facilities, instrumentation, MGSE, EGSE, etc. and recruitment of adequate test personnel. Required Experience and skills Master or equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering, with 3 or more years of experience as AIT Engineer or AIT Manager in the space sector. Wellfounded knowledge of the space environment, space hardware and typical AIT and AITrelated PAQA procedures of the space sector. Participation in at least one successfully completed AIT campaign Experience in Project Management Tasks Fluent in English, spoken and written, with a proven ability to create, write, and maintain technical documents Experience in the procurement of complex hardware for the aerospace sector Team spirit and flexibility Desired Experience Experience in the specification of testrelated hardware e.g. EGSE, MGSE, test adapter Additional experience in safety and security issues. Some knowledge of German Experience with thermal vacuum tests
