000 ABPZ20 KNHC 292327 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Wed May 29 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue a couple hundred miles south of southern Mexico in association with a broad area of low pressure. Development, if any, should be slow to occur during the next day or so before the system moves inland over southern Mexico. Regardless of whether or not this disturbance develops, heavy rain is expected over portions of southern Mexico and Central America throughout this week and into the weekend. Some slow development of this system is possible during the next couple of days before it moves inland over southern Mexico. Regardless of whether or not this disturbance develops, heavy rain is expected over portions of southern Mexico and Central America throughout this week and into the weekend. 000 ABPZ20 KNHC 290506 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Tue May 28 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: A weak area of low pressure is located over the far eastern Pacific less than 100 miles southwest of the Nicaragua-Honduras border. This broad disturbance continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms over portions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and the adjacent Pacific waters. The system is expected to move inland over Central America on Wednesday, and formation of a tropical cyclone is not expected. However, locally heavy rainfall is likely to continue over portions of Central America and southern Mexico during the next several days. These rains could cause flash flooding and mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent.
