RHEA is currently recruiting a Spacecraft Operations Engineer SOE to support Sentinel2 operations at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The SOE will be primary responsible for the commissioning phases of the Sentinel2 spacecraft with a particular focus on the Mass Memory and Formatting Unit, SBand and XBand subsystems. The scope of work will include Validation, test and operation of the MCS Validation, test and operation of the Simulator Generation, validation and maintenance of the FOP primarily on MMFU, SBS, XBS, but also for other subsystems Support for test and operate the NDIU Support for FOS procurement, integration and tests Review of satellite documents Mission Planning. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in engineering or equivalent diploma At least 3 years of experience working in space operations Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Ability to work independently and with little supervision Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Ability to coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields Familiarity with Packet Utilisation Standard or other TMTC standards Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with procedures life cycle Familiarity with Mission Planning tools Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites Familiarity with multi satellite missions Fluency in English, both spoken and written How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
