Vodafone unveils 2bn Germany fast broadband plan

Vodafone on Monday unveiled a plan to invest €2 billion in the roll out of high-speed broadband connections in Germany over four years, primarily targeting business customers. Taiwan Broadband Communication deploys second video delivery system from Harmonic

Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT) has announced that Taiwan Broadband Communication (TBC) has recently deployed a second Harmonic headend to support its CATV service. Using Harmonic's products, TBC delivers 120 HD and 64 SD channels to subscribers.

Dutch broadband market growth slows to 0.1% in Q2 - Telecompaper

(Telecompaper) The Dutch market for fixed broadband internet rose by only 0.1 percent in the second quarter, half of what it grew in the first quarter, according to Telecompaper's Dutch Broadband 2017 Q2 report. The number of connections went to 7.35 million. Cable grew, but less strongly than in Q1. Demand was the exact opposite for fibre. For full-year 2017, the market research agency expects growth to go over 1 percent year-on-year.
