For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a DOORS Administration Engineering Support at EUMETSAT. Tasks In EUMETSAT, DOORS is used to manage and provide traceability for the complete specification trees for the EUMETSAT satellite programs, to manage product requirements of the Satellite Application Facility Network, and to support other specific projects. It is foreseen, that the detailed tasks of the Key person will include as a minimum Installation, maintenance and upgrades of the DOORS client and server software, including testing of the compatibility of existing customisations with software upgrades Installation, customisation, maintenance and upgrades of DOORS addons such as DOORS Web Access, IBM Rational Publishing Engine RPE, IBM Rational DOORS Data Exchange AddOn, ... Maintenance and improvements of existing tools DXL, Word macros, HTML, JavaScript, Visual basic scripts, RPE templates and document specifications Design, implementation, testing and delivery following the full application development cycle of new tools Routine execution of specific reporting tasks Integration between DOORS and other EUMETSAT information systems e.g. Document Management System, Configuration Management, Anomaly Processing Tool Creation and testing of regular DOORS server backups DOORS User and access rights administration Investigating the potential LDAP support for DOORS user management Monitoring and reporting on the daily usage of DOORS licenses Provision of first level support for DOORS Provision of user training for DOORS and or specific DOORS customisations Keeping up to date on developments associated with DOORS and making recommendations for the long term maintainability of the DOORS implementation in EUMETSAT Gathering, documentation and review of requirements of the DOORS installations and integration and the review of existing working practices Essential requirements In addition to having a university degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience, the Key person shall have as a prerequisite At least 5 years professional experience in using DOORS for requirements management At least 3 years professional experience in administering DOORS At least 3 years professional experience of DXL At least 1 year professional experience with RPE Experience in providing DOORS user support and delivering user training Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Proven experience in formal documentation, preferably in an ISO 9001 certified Project and service environment Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Key person to have experience with thefollowing Experience in using DOORS for verification management Knowledge of Tomcat, Apache Knowledge of LDAPAD Knowledge of and experience with HTML JavaScript Knowledge of and experience with Java Knowledge of ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration Management fundamentals and principles Other Information Start date is forseen to be 1st April 2014 Fluency in English is mandatory. This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. Galileo Ground Segment Operations Engineering 1412010 Job Description The Galileo Project requires engineering support for monitoring and controlling the overall preparation of the ground segment and execution of the Galileo operations activities. The service will support the activities of the Galileo Constellation Operations Unit HSOOGC in the coordinating of the definition, deployment, validation, and operation of the Galileo Ground Control infrastructure, as required to meet the overall Galileo service needs. The Ground Control Segment infrastructure is deployed and operated mainly in the Galileo Control Centre GCC in Oberpfaffenhofen Germany and Fucino as backup. In addition GCS elements are deployed at the LEOP centres Darmstadt, Toulouse. Remote elements, like the five SBand TTCF stations, are deployed around the globe. The service will be provided to the Galileo Constellation Operations Unit in particular the ESA Control Segment Operations Engineer at GCCD, covering the following tasks Monitoring the activities of the Operations Service provider on its operations and maintenance activities of the Galileo Control Segment in the GCCs and the remote sites Followup the development, integration, verification and operational validation of the Galileo Ground Control segment within the context of the overall Galileo system Support the development of requirements for evolution of the Galileo Control Segment to improve operability Support the procurement process for the Operations Service Provider for the Ground Control Segment maintenance and operations aspects, and monitor their implementation Support and coordinate the interaction between the Operations and the Ground Control Segment providers, ensuring the coherency of the maintenance and operations concept for the Control Segment, at system, segment and element level Participation on Galileo related Anomaly Review Boards, Change Control Boards, reviews panels, as required. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such us Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. Significant experience of senior engineering activities in ground control of similarly complex computer infrastructure deployed for space operation related activities. A proven experience in in a commercialindustrial environment is required. Experience related to developments in the Galileo project GIOVE, IOV will be considered an asset. Based at Oberpfaffenhofen D, the work will require regular travelling to ESOC, ESTEC, Fucino IT and other European sites.
