Summary A degree educated experienced events assistant to work for Telespazio VEGA onsite at ESTEC. Objective To support the management of events for ESA Business Incubation Centres Technology Transfer Broker Network. Responsibilities Duties Tasks to be performed within this service will include but are not limited to To manage the dissemination and knowledge transfer of the Brokers and BICs technology transfer activities through technology conferences, events, exhibitions and technology fairs, including logistics, planning, implementation, evaluation, metric analysis and subsequent event strategy improvement and creation. To support the dissemination of technology results, final presentations, ESA patents, space competences and software to the space and nonspace industry. To build and constantly improve event guidelines for both TTPO and TTPO partner events to ensure a high scientific and technology standard as well as the correct presentation of ESA through its corporate ID and ESA TTP. To coordinate and ensure the implementation of these guidelines by interacting with the TTPO Broker Network, NTTI Network and ESA Business Incubation Centres as well as other TTPO partners to ensure good communication of the activities to maximise impact and continuity. To manage the coordination activities concerning the events and exhibitions carried out by the partner network. To build on the current exhibit collection, taking into account the technology description, patent portfolio and success stories of the TTPO and Business Incubation to be used by TTPO and partners for presentation and exhibition purposes. To coordinate the production of all material required for industry trainings and space related events. To actively search and scout for nonESA events increase awareness of the TTPOs activities and disseminate ESA know how and technical competence. Extensive travel will be required. Qualifications Experience At least 3 years experience working in the space field with a particular emphasis on event management, business support programmes. Familiarity with the services provided by ESA and TTP would be an asset. Familiarity with technology and engineering content. Familiarity with the services provided by ESA and TTP would be an asset. Understanding the needs and expectations of the TTPO and the mission of the European Space Agency would be an advantage. Proficiency using the Agency internal informatic tools. Helping to make an initial assessment of proposals for feasibility studies resulting from an Open Call relating to ideas and possibilities for the transfer of a space technology to a given nonspace application and ascertaining whether these ideas are feasible or not and should be conducted by external experts. Since funding for feasibility studies is limited a suitable selection has to be made from the proposals. The TT Officer will help in evaluating the proposals as they come in and selecting those for study, as well as helping to select the expert who will carry out the study, and subsequently monitoring progress. The TT Officer will also be expected to follow developments and provide support where necessary to the brokers under the National Technology Transfer Initiative. The TT Officer will also help actively contribute to other existing activities, such as Intellectual properties activities, Business Incubation Centre support and all other TTPO tasks when required. Generic tasks Supporting the technology transfer process by continuous research of donorreceiver opportunities and screening of commercial applications of lowmedium TRL space technology studies into non space sectors. Supporting the Incubation activities by coaching and tutoring startup companies and facilitating the access to ESTEC technical expertise in the initial phases of the business. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Applicants should possess a Master degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
