A Commercial Manager vacancy has arisen with Astrium Satellites UK, Sales Marketing organisation. The Commercial Manager role will be responsible for managing, the Portsmouth commerical team as directed, Proposals and Contracts in the Earth Observation, Navigation and Science Business unit. The key responsibilities of the position include Analyse, review and prepare the financial and contractual part of proposals, as directed, for institutional and commercial customers, national and international. Manage and directs the commercial contractual matters during the bid phase including, as directed, issuance of RFPs to potential subcontractorssuppliers. Identify commercial and contractual conditions favourable for the company and secure their implementation. Observe compliance with legal requirements and internal regulations code of conduct. Complete and finalise the proposal documentation and deliver the entire offer in due time to customer. Review, create and negotiate contractual documentation non disclosure agreements cooperation agreements, license agreements, procurement contracts, subcontracts etc. Preparation of documentation for internal approval of proposals contracts. Coordination of prime and subcontracts, as directed. Negotiate and implement contracts, subcontracts and contract changes, including the negotiation of price and related matters. Responsible for the reporting and management of commercialcontractual risks and opportunties within relevant Proposals and Contracts. Responsible for archiving proposal and contract documents and take care of the proper administration of the contract data within the SAP system. Interface, as necessary, with Project Management, Finance control, legal, Insurance. Support the technical departments projects concerning all contractual issues. Report to ENSUK Commercial Manager Head of Commercial Contracts. Attending all Reviews and negotiations with customerssubcontractors, as required Support Head of Commercial Contracts in all business related matters Weekly and monthly reporting as appropriate Based at Astriums Portsmouth office with regular travel to other Astrium, Customer and Subcontractor locations. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience Extensive experience within the commercial field Contracts Commercial Procurement. Experience of dealing with internationalGovernmental customers and complex large value contracts. Education to degree level or equivalent ideally including elements of Business and Law. Proven reputation as a selfstarter, capable of delivering high workload without supervision and with attention to detail. Proven ability to achieve results with senior management through influence and persuasion Proven negotiation and contract management skills Proven ability to lead a team. Ability to have leadership accepted at all levels of the business This position requires a candidate who is self motivated and solution orientated with good communication skills and experience of interaction at both supplier and customer level a sound of experience in the submission of winning proposals including customer dialoguenegotiation experience of dispute resolution and the brokering of new agreements including major change notices to existing large projects and corporate bodies.
