T-Mobile Czech Republic CEO to also head Slovak Telekom

(Telecompaper) Milan Vasina, CEO of T-Mobile Czech Republic, will become CEO of sister company Slovak Telekom as well from the start of 2016. This follows the departure of Slovak Telekom CEO Miroslav Majoros to become CEO of Telekom Romania, another member of the Deutsche Telekom group. Majoros will remain chairman of the Slovak Telekom board. Vasina previously served as CEO of T-Mobile Slovakia and assisted in the merger of the mobile operator with Slovak Telekom in 2009-2010. He took up the Czech position from January 2011.

FLIX.TV acquires satellite broadcasting licence in the Czech Republic

The Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting (RRTV), the broadcasting regulator in the Czech Republic, has issued a satellite broadcasting licence to FLIX.TV. According to the RRTV announcement, the service will be targeted at the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
