MSG4 Spacecraft Operations Engineers System, Subsystem and Payload MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. Those are regular opportunities for experienced Satellite Engineers to work in the domain of satellite operations operations preparations on customer side EUMETSAT in Darmstadt. The key persons will be integrated in the MSG Spacecraft Operations Team. The tasks of the different roles depending on the qualification and background of the candidates are in the area of platform routine operations and operations preparation, spacecraft payload activities and systemengineering work. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES Familiarisation with the MSG satellite design and existing operations procedures as necessary Support the conduct of routine operations of the inorbit MSG spacecraft and commissioning of MSG4 Provision of Satellite Operations Engineer SOE oncall service Performance evaluation and trend analysis to monitor the inflight behaviour of the spacecraft, including support to yearly and specific operations reviews eg eclipses, reconditioning, manoeuvres, decontamination, etc Support for the maintenance of the MSG Flight Operation Manual Development and maintenance of procedures Satellite simulator support and provision of the necessary input to the simulator maintenance team Take care of the satellite payload system or subsystems specially electronic power subsystem EPS and AOCS Preparing and participating in launch operations Systems Engineering work QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE University or similar degree in aerospace, electronics or physics First experience with operational aspects of GEO satellites ESSENTIAL SKILLS DEPENDING ON THE ROLE Practical experience with at least one of the following satellite subsystems Payload AOCS Electric Power Knowledge of routine spacecraft operations in general Operations preparation of a satellite project HandsOn experience in systems engineering tasks Experience with earth observation satellites is a plus Be fluent in English, both in speech and writing Ability to work autonomously andor in a team according to high level guidelines and to interface with technical and management personnel, proactive and confident personality BENEFITS Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities and Telespazio VEGA Deutschland pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate.
