Within this Business Unit, the Space Observations Pole also provides scientific and technical expertise support to space agencies for the development of future instrument concepts dedicated to oceanographic applications. The RD activities to be carried out by the incumbent consist in carrying out Phase 0 A type studies for the prototyping of treatments and the performance analysis of radar measurements targeting various oceanographic products sea state, wind, waves, current, sea ice. sea. Most of the clients are space agencies, scientists or private companies. Within this BU, the Space Observations pole meets the needs of space agencies CNES, ESA, EUMETSAT, etc. in the field of earth observation by satellites. This pole operates throughout the measurement and data chain definition of missions, instrumental expertise, measurement physics, algorithms and ground treatment chains.
