Within this Business Unit, the Space Observations Pole also provides scientific and technical expertise support to space agencies for the development of future instrument concepts dedicated to oceanographic applications. The RD activities to be carried out by the incumbent consist in carrying out Phase 0 A type studies for the prototyping of treatments and the performance analysis of radar measurements targeting various oceanographic products sea state, wind, waves, current, sea ice. sea. The instrumental concepts could be based on SAR imaging technologies, wide swath altimetry and nearnadir scatterometry. In this context, CLS is looking for a RD Engineer Future Space Oceanography Missions M F As part of your duties, your main missions consist of Participate in algorithmic studies and developments, instrumental studies and algorithm prototyping through endtoend simulation tools, Define, specify and validate scientific algorithms, processing chains and products instrument processing and estimates of geophysical parameters mainly related to the measurement of sea state or ice, Follow software developments and or contribute to them, ensuring compliance with technical constraints, management of resources, schedules and supervision of technical assistance, Provide technical responsibility for projects, Write and present technical notes and publications contractual meetings, participation in international scientific conferences, Participate in responses to Calls for Tenders and associated institutional industrial arrangements. A good knowledge of the principles of measurement of SAR instruments, altimeters, scatterometers or radiometers as well as associated data processing would be a plus as well as mastery of Artificial Intelligence methods.
