(Telecompaper) Netflix has announced the launch of a simple ad-free website under the domain name fast.com that allows users to instantly check their current internet speed on mobile or broadband anywhere in the world. "Using Netflix servers, fast.com works like other globally available tools including speedtest.net, and the results should be similar in most cases," said the company in a blog post announcing the service. The website even comes with a link to speedtest.net so that users can compare the results.
