In a tweet on 26 May, Trump said: "I closed it down then let it reopen with high level security guarantees, change of management and board, must purchase US parts and pay a USD 1.3 billion fine."

Apple wins USD 539 mln in latest patent ruling against Samsung

(Telecompaper) Samsung must pay Apple USD 539 million for infringing patents related to the iPhone's design, a US federal jury found. The decision in the US District Court in San Jose, California increases the amount that Samsung previously was ordered to pay Apple for the patents under dispute, from USD 399 million to USD 539 million, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Adobe buys commerce platform Magento for USD 1.68 bln

(Telecompaper) Adobe has agreed to buy commerce platform Magento for USD 1.68 billion, so that it can integrate commerce into its Adobe Experience Cloud, delivering a single platform for both B2B and B2C customers. Adobe said consumers and businesses now expect every interaction to be "shoppable," whether it be on the web, mobile, social, in-product or in-store. The Magento Platform will bring together digital commerce, order management and predictive intelligence into one unified commerce platform so that Adobe can enable shopping experiences across a wide array of industries, such as consumer packaged goods, retail, wholesale, manufacturing and the public sector. Adobe will be acquiring Magento from Permira Funds, with a stake also coming from Hillhouse Capital.

HMD Global raises USD 100 mln to accelerate Nokia phone sales

(Telecompaper) China Tower, a mobile infrastructure operator owned by the state, has filed for an initial public offering of shares in Hong Kong. China Mobile has a 38 percent stake in China Tower, with China Unicom and China Telecom each holding around 28 percent and China Reform Holdings, a state-owned investment fund, owning 6 percent. The three carriers pay leasing fees to use China Tower's facilities.
