CHICAGO - The Railroad Retirement Act provides disability annuities for railroaders who become totally or occupationally disabled. Medicare coverage before age 65 is also available for totally disabled employees and those suffering from ALS or chronic kidney disease.

NEWS Sabic dissolving Innovative Plastics unit, shifting products into other divisions

Saudi Basic Industries Corp. is dissolving its Sabic Innovative Plastics unit - the former GE Plastics business that ranks as one of the world's largest polycarbonate makers. In an Oct. 8 news release, officials with Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-based Sabic said that Sabic IP's commodity products will be placed in the parent firm's Chemicals and Polymers unit.
