A Senior Sales Engineer is required for a full time position to work for one of the UKs most innovative young companies, also a World leader in electronic systems for small satellites and CubeSats. As a key member of the Business Development Team you will be responsible for building close relationships with our customers, supporting their projects and ensuring Clyde Space continues deliver excellent customer service, exceeding our customers expectations. The Senior Sales Engineer will have a good mix of great communication skills business sense and the ability to express yourself creatively so you can communicate across the various stakeholders involved in Clyde Space products and projects. The right person will also need to drive revenue growth from existing customers and create new revenue from incoming enquiries as well as develop new business initiatives for the business. The successful candidate will be involved all aspects of client relationships including weekly reports and pipelines with regular updates to the Head of Business development and the Executive management team at Clyde Space. Key Responsibilities Include Identify new sales leads, pitching products, and maintaining strong relationships with existingnew customer in the CubeSat market. Present and introduce the Clyde Space solution to senior stakeholders at the customers site. Understanding the needs of different companies and learning who make decision about purchasingsigning off to procure Clyde Space solutions within the prospective customers company Planning, overseeing, attending conferences, meetings and industry events to develop marketing strategy Preparing documentation, sales displays, developing proposals, and negotiation to achieve the sales target The Successful Applicant At least 10 years in Sales management, Business development experienced in Spacecraft or complex products from the aerospace industry Strong track record in new business development A Strong network within the Spacecraft or CubeSat industry at decision making level. Able to sell to both existing business and startup companies. Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills Experience of selling to and managing relationships with US and European Prime contractors in the Aerospace and Spacecraft markets. SCISYS is looking to recruit a sales executive to join our Space Division, who will develop and grow our autonomy business in areas such as agriculture, utilities, construction, aerospace and energy. The role will include all aspects of the sales lifecycle, including Identifying and fostering new contacts throughout the UK and Europe, initially, in target markets. Responsibility for developing clientaccount relationships with key individuals in organisations on a daytoday basis. Active prospecting of the private and public sectors to identify new business opportunities. Performing market analyses and surveys that feed into the overall positioning and sales strategy. Fostering and managing a sales pipeline that delivers sustainable and profitable business. Representing SCISYS credibly and professionally at trade shows, exhibitions and events. Working collaboratively with the Head of Autonomy and Robotics and technical authorities to identify winning propositions that will meet clients needs. Leading proposal writing and contract negotiations as required. Providing a smooth handover from successful sales to the Operations Manager who will manage the project delivery. Understanding of the sales cycle and process from first contact through to closure. Knowledge of procurement channels and how to exploit them. Commercial awareness and identifying potential risk areas. Quick learner able to learn the key concepts behind the technology. Selfstarter with initiative and a strong motivation to succeed. Good personal organisation and focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, producing and delivering appropriate wellstructured presentations and proposals. Strong in building relationships and able to communicate with all levels. Be a team player contributing to a collaborative environment. Willingness to travel regularly and frequently to customer sites. Professional and positive approach. Commitment to achieving targets. Graduate with a university degree in business studies, economics, management, engineering, science or equivalent professional experience. Having one of the following will be considered an advantage Prior sales experience and a network of contacts within a relevant field such as agriculture, utilities, construction, aerospace or energy. Prior experience of surveying and measurement of structures, tunnels or buildings. Experience of autonomy and robotics. Dependent on experience, the successful candidate will receive sales and business development training to support their development. The successful candidate will be based at our Bristol office. Candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK, have a valid driving licence and be able to obtain security clearance.
